DOT504 is the physical theatre dance company, founded in 2006 by their artistic director Lenka Ottová.
The financial support from the Municipality of Prague made its existence possible along with the method of the ensemble’s cooperation with choreographers, style of work on the group’s artistic growth and international acknowledgment.
In few seasons Lenka Ottová establishes an internationally respected company, which offer a background for outstanding dancers and substantially step into the development of the area of contemporary dance.
DOT504 is characterised by high technical quality, creativity and strong personalities among the performers and the project creators as well.
The company helped rise to international success for the performers and choreographers as Pavel Mašek (Ultima Vez Company) and Lenka Vágnerová (LV Company).
The most successful co-operation, which imprinted the group its special character and formed the international success of DOT504, is co-operation with choreographers Jozef Fruček & Linda Kapetanea (RootLessRoot).
The first common project Holdin’ Fast received the Total Theatre Award nomination for the Best Young Company at the Fringe Festival Edinburgh in 2008.
100 Wounded Tears was awarded with The Herald Angels Award at the Fringe Festival Edinburgh one-year later – in 2009.
The third project Collective Loss of Memory builds on this success and won Czech Dance Platform Dance Piece of the Year Award and Audience Award in 2015.
Blurring of boundaries between theater and dance is one of the main characteristics of the work of DOT504.
